Young explorers will use their senses in open-ended investigations of nature, through play, stories, music, art, and observation. The Discovery Grove, an outdoor environment tailored especially for young explorers, and the Education Center Classroom will be home-base, with trails, ponds, meadows, and woods further enhancing this fun learning experience.

    (All ages) The Lucketts Bluegrass Concert Series closes out its 40th season of weekly concerts at the Lucketts Community Center on Saturday, April 26, 2014 at 7 PM featuring two top notch area bands: The Patuxent Partners and Patent Pending. The Patuxent Partners perform a traditional style of bluegrass that embodies the high lonesome sound of founders of the music such as Bill Monroe, Buzz Busby, & The Stanley Brothers. Tom Mindte-vocals & mandolin, Brian Deere-guitar & vocals, John Brunshwyler-banjo, Jack Liederman-fiddle, Victoria McMullen-bass. Patent Pending has been performing & recording bluegrass music for over 30 years.
