Shawn M. Williams was elected to represent the Broad Run District on the Board of Supervisors in November 2011 and currently serves as Vice Chairman of the Board. He serves on the Board's Economic Development Committee and the Finance, Government Services and Operations Committee. He represents Loudoun County on the Dulles Area Transportation Association, the Route 28 Transportation Improvement District Commission, and the Northern Virginia Transportation Commission. He also is the Board's representative on the Loudoun County Family Services Board.
He was born and raised on Maryland’s Eastern Shore. He has a bachelor’s degree in science, a master’s in business administration, and a juris doctorate.
He began his career serving his country as an active duty U.S. Marine. He has held high-level legal positions for companies such as Raytheon and ASC. Currently, he is the federal counsel for Sprint.
He is a member of the Virginia State Bar Association, the National Contract Management Association and the Association for Corporate Counsel.
He resides in Broadlands with his wife Joy and their three children. They attend Our Saviors Way Lutheran Church.
