CIGNA Choice Health Savings Account (HSA)

The HSA provides a health care plan with a tax-free health savings account with funds contributed by the Loudoun County Government or the employee. Before the health plan pays a coinsurance on eligible expenses, an annual deductible must be satisfied. Administered by Cigna.

Contributions

Loudoun County contributes dollars to an employee's HSA each pay period based upon the level of coverage selected by the employee. Employees may also contribute, via payroll deduction on a pre-tax basis. Those funds remaining in the employees' HSA at the end of the year will roll over to the next year. The HSA is also an interest - bearing, portable account.
