Data Management & Analysis

Data Management System

Water resources data collected from field monitoring, permitting requirements, and technical studies must be compiled and organized for it to be useful. To facilitate the organization, management, and use of these data, the county has developed a water resources data management system.

Data Collection

Information stored in the database has been collected by the county, several federal and state agencies, and volunteer organizations. The database includes information related to:

Data Model
  • Climate
  • Groundwater level monitoring
  • Groundwater quality
  • Hydrogeologic investigations
  • Stream habitat assessments
  • Surface water flow
  • Surface water quality
  • Well construction

The water resources database is linked with other county data information systems to facilitate data retrieval and analysis by staff. The database is currently linked to the county Land Management Information System (LMIS) and the county Geographic Information System (GIS).
