The Board of Supervisors is in the process of reviewing an Unmet Housing Needs Strategic Plan (UHNSP). The final draft of the plan is scheduled to be considered by the Board of Supervisors in September 2021.

Loudoun County is working with the Metropolitan Washington Council of Governments and neighboring jurisdictions on a Regional Housing Equity Plan, also known as the Regional Analysis of Impediments (AI) to Fair Housing Choice. 

Eviction and Foreclosure Prevention

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has extended the nationwide eviction moratorium to July 31, 2021. 

The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development has suspended foreclosures on Federal Housing Administration insured mortgages until July 31, 2021. 

The Federal Housing Finance Agency has suspended foreclosures for Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac backed mortgages through July 31, 2021.

USDA Rural Development has also suspended foreclosures for homes financed by USDA single family housing direct or guaranteed loans until July 31, 2021.
