Sterling-Cascades Station 18 & 25

About 

The Sterling Volunteer Fire Department started in 1966 with two used pumpers and a tanker housed in a barn on Holly Avenue. By 1998, SVFD had two stations, Station 11 in Sterling Park and Station 25 in Cascades. Construction of Station 18 in Cascades, in a joint effort with Sterling Rescue Company 25, was completed in 1997. Each of Sterling’s Fire Stations are jointly operated with Sterling Volunteer Rescue Squad.

Sterling Fire’s Station 18 houses a fire engine, tanker and quint which are staffed by career personnel from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Friday and volunteer personnel from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. Monday through Friday and 24 hours Saturday and Sunday.

Sterling Rescue Squad, Company 25 houses several advance life support ambulances and medic chase vehicles. Staffing for company 25 units is provided by volunteers 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
