Referral Process
- Law enforcement refers offender to Juvenile Court Service Unit for an intake screening
- The case is evaluated by an Intake Officer for appropriateness as a Restorative Justice Diversion case
- A Juvenile Court Judge orders Restorative Justice Conference at disposition
Agreement / Conference Phase
- Diversion Officer schedules meeting with parties involved
- Meeting held and if an agreement is reached, diversion phase continues
Restorative Phase
- Successful completion of agreement leads to a successful resolution of offense
- Unsuccessful completion of agreement leads to a formal charge and adjudication
