Workforce Innovation / Opportunity Act Program (WIOA)

Employment & Training Assistance

The Workforce Innovation/Opportunity Act (WIOA) Program can assist eligible adults and dislocated workers with employment and training services.

What is WIOA? WIOA is landmark legislation administered by the U.S. Department of Labor that is designed to strengthen and improve the nation's public workforce system. It is designed to help get Americans, including youth and those with significant barriers to employment, into high-quality jobs and careers and help employers hire and retain skilled workers.

WIOA Title I-financially assisted programs and Virginia Career Works – Northern are an equal opportunity program/employer committed to nondiscrimination on the basis of disability in all programs, services and activities. Reasonable accommodations, to include auxiliary aids and services, are available upon request to individuals with disabilities.
