Service Changes for Loudoun County Transit

When there are service changes or schedule adjustments for Loudoun County Transit bus services, they will be posted here.

Premium Commuter Bus Service

  • July 3, 2019: There will be special afternoon schedules for all services from Washington DC, the Pentagon, Crystal City & Rosslyn on Wednesday, July 3, 2019.  There is no change to the morning schedules. This schedule features 11 early afternoon buses. Additionally, several of the regular afternoon routes on July 3 have been canceled as those buses are being used for the earlier routes.  Please make sure you read all of the information on the schedule to better understand how the early out buses will work!  
  • Thursday, July 4, 2019 – No Service – Independence Day: Loudoun County Transit will not operate ANY bus services July 4.

  • Friday, July 5, 2019 – Reduced Service: Loudoun County Transit will operate on a reduced schedule Friday, July 5. There will be NO Premium Commuter Bus service to or from Purcellville, Dulles South, East Gate, Brambleton, Loudoun Station or Ashburn North. There will be limited service to and from Harmony, Leesburg and the Dulles North Transit Center. 
  • Attention 18th Street & Route 1 Crystal City Bus Stop Passengers – On Monday, June 10, 2019, due to bridge demolition at 18th Street, the LC Transit Commuter Bus drop off & pickup location will be moved to a temporary location on 18th Street, east of S Bell Street. The stop will be in front of the Bloomberg BNA office building that has a multi-colored construction wall in front of it.  Please take note where the buses are dropping off in the morning as that is the same location that the buses will pickup from in the afternoon. 

Metro Connection Bus Services 

  • On July 3, there will be an early afternoon bus provided for the Potomac Falls (Route 902) and Loudoun Station, Broadlands & Goose Creek Metro Connection Services (Route 926). There will be no change to the morning schedules.  
  • Thursday, July 4, 2019 – No Service – Independence Day: Loudoun County Transit will not operate ANY bus services July 4.

  • Friday, July 5, 2019 – Reduced Service: There will be limited service to and from Potomac Falls on Routes 901 and 902, Harmony and Leesburg on Routes 921, 922 and 927, and Loudoun Station on Routes 925, 926 and 927.  There will be no service to East Gate and Dulles South on Route 88 and no service to Dulles Town Center on Route 87. 

Local Fixed Route Bus services

  • Thursday, July 4, 2019 – No Service – Independence Day: Loudoun County Transit will not operate ANY bus services July 4.
  • Friday, July 5, 2019 - Local bus service including, Route 990, will operate as normal on July 5.  Routes 993 and 994, service to the Loudoun County Government center and Routes 931 and 932, service between Purcellville and Wiehle–Reston East Metrorail Station will not operate on July 5.
  • Route 55 - New schedule to the new Walmart in Leesburg began May 29, 2019.

ADA/Paratransit Bus Services

  • Thursday, July 04, 2019 – No Service – Independence Day: Loudoun County Transit will not operate ANY bus services July 4.

All riders should monitor this web page, loudoun.gov/buschanges, after 4:00 a.m. for possible unexpected service changes. A voice mail message at 703-771-5665 also will be updated should any service changes occur.
