ADU Rental Program Certificate Renewal

Renewal Details

ADU Rental Program certificates are valid for one year and must be renewed each year if you want to continue to participate in the ADU Rental Program. Renewal letters are mailed to the certificate holders 120 days (4 months) prior to certificate expiration. The renewal letter contains a list of the information you must provide to determine if you are still eligible for the ADU Rental Program.

Paperwork & Documentation

Renewal paperwork must be submitted 90 days (3 months) prior to certificate expiration. You must meet all of the ADU Rental Program guidelines at renewal. Once the renewal paperwork is reviewed, you will be contacted in writing to let you know if you meet the requirements of the ADU Rental Program. If you qualify, the renewed ADU Rental Program certificate will be mailed to you. If you no longer qualify, a letter will be mailed to you explaining why you no longer qualify. If you are living in an ADU Rental unit and are no longer eligible for the ADU Rental Program, you can remain in the ADU unit, paying the ADU rent, until your lease expires. Please give the leasing office the required notice per your lease.
