Crossroads Jobs, Inc.

Crossroads Jobs is a free employment service, connecting capable applicants with marketplace jobs. The highly individualized job search and job placement service is offered in English and Spanish, with location in Sterling and Leesburg. Job applicants are required to participate in a week-long series of interviews and workshops. 

Department for Aging and Rehabilitative Services (DARS)

In partnership with people with disabilities and their families, the Virginia Division of Rehabilitative Services collaborates with the public and private sectors to provide and advocate for the highest quality services that empower individuals with disabilities to maximize their employment, independence and full inclusion into society. Department for the Blind and Vision Impaired (DBVI)

The Department for the Blind and Vision Impaired (DBVI) is committed to providing quality services to assist Virginia's citizens who are blind, deafblind or vision impaired in achieving their desired level of employment, education, and personal independence. The department provides an array of specialized services to blind Virginians of all ages to assist them in attaining the skills, confidence and positive outlook that are critical to independence.

Department of Veterans Services

The Department of Veterans Services (DVS) is organized in to six service delivery sections and three citizen boards work closely with the agency to support the effective delivery of services to Virginia’s veterans – the Board of Veterans Services, the Joint Leadership Council of Veterans Service Organizations, and the Veterans Services Foundation.

Housing Services (Family Self-Sufficiency)

The Department of Housing and Community Development maintains an apartment guide and rental listings from private landlords for apartments, townhouses and single family homes, assists low-income residents with Housing Choice Voucher rental assistance. Housing Services provides assistance to families who wish to sign up for the Family Self-Sufficiency program with motivational counseling to move off of government assistance.

Job Link, Loudoun County Community Services Board

Job coaches provide one-on-one assistance in Job Link with finding and keeping regular jobs in the community; job coaches may be present 100% of time when someone starts work, but will lessen the time spent at the worksite over time, but will have a minimum of 2 contacts per month.

The Loudoun County Department of Human Resources assists county government departments in attracting, retaining, and motivating qualified employees. It is the mission of Human Resources to strategically recruit, develop, and retain a highly qualified and diverse workforce in service of the County’s mission and maintain a professional and safe work environment. 

Loudoun County Public Schools, Adult Education

LCPS Adult Education provides educational opportunities for adults who wish to acquire competencies necessary for further education, employment, or personal enrichment. The program offers the following services: Adult Basic Education (ABE), General Educational Development (GED), English as a Second Language (ESL) and the Adult High School program.

Loudoun Hunger Relief, Inc.

Loudoun Hunger Relief, Inc. (LHR) is an independent, 501c (3) nonprofit food pantry located in Leesburg, Virginia whose mission is to feed hungry and food insecure Loudoun residents. Fifty percent of our clients are children or seniors. Established in 1991 by a group of dedicated volunteers from local churches, LHR was committed to offer support and solutions to several groups of people: the working poor whose income is insufficient to cover basic necessities, the unemployed, the elderly or the sick who cannot compete in the workplace and the homeless. Today, the mission has remained the same and we continue to see an increase in need.

Loudoun Literacy Council

The Loudoun Literacy Council is a nonprofit, 501c (3) community based organization dedicated to improving English language skills for adults, children, and families in Loudoun County. LLC’s Adult Literacy Program uses the services of trained volunteers to provide high-quality reading, writing, and English language learning programs for adults to empower and enable them to acquire the skills necessary to achieve personal and occupational goals. Specific programs include year-round classes for ELL (English Language Learner) students and one-on-one tutoring in adult basic education, ELL, and GED preparation classes. LLC’s Family Literacy Program provides literacy enrichment for children living at or below the poverty line to develop successful learners and promote the benefits of literacy for the whole family.

Migration and Refugee Services (MRS) - Catholic Charities, Diocese of Arlington

MRS is one of 104 national affiliates of the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops. Since its founding in 1975, the office has resettled and assisted over 20,000 refugees and asylees across Northern Virginia. We presently offer services in five sites: Arlington, Alexandria, Annandale, Fredericksburg, and Manassas.

Northern Virginia Community College (NVCC)

NVCC is a comprehensive institution of higher learning offering programs of instruction generally extending not more than two years beyond the high school level. Programs include college transfer, occupational and technical education, development course work, English as a Second Language and continuing education/workforce development. Northern Virginia Resource Center for Deaf and Hard of Hearing Persons

The Center serves deaf and hard of hearing people and their families, friends, co-workers, employers, and business and government agencies that serve deaf and hard of hearing people. 

Opportunities, Alternatives, and Resources (OAR)

OAR is a local non-profit restorative justice organization providing human services since 1971. Our history has its roots in the highest principles of human rights, and the most practical applications of a community’s enlightened self-interest and citizen action. 

Senior Community Service Employment Program (SCSEP)

The Senior Community Service Employment Program is a community service and work-based job training program for older Americans. Authorized by the Older Americans Act, the program provides training for low-income, unemployed seniors. Participants also have access to employment assistance through American Job Centers.

Ticket to Work

The Ticket to Work program provides Social Security disability beneficiaries with more choices for receiving employment services. The Social Security Administration issues Tickets to eligible beneficiaries who, in turn, may assign those Tickets to an Employment Network of their choice to obtain employment services and other support services necessary to maximize their economic self-sufficiency through employment. The Skillsource Group, Inc., has been providing Ticket to Work services as an Employment Network since October 2010. View these brochures for more information:

Virginia Career Works - Northern Board (VCWNB)

VCWNB is a team of private and public sector partners who share a common goal: promoting the economic prosperity and long-term growth of Northern Virginia. Their mission is to advance an integrated, highly responsive workforce investment system that gives businesses and job seekers the tools they need to stay competitive in today’s global marketplace. They provide service to existing and new businesses, job seekers, and youth. The NVWDB also serves as an Employment Network for the SSA Ticket to Work Program.

Virginia Employment Commission (VEC)

Virginia's First Choice for Workforce Services. The commission promotes economic growth and stability by delivering and coordinating workforce services.

Virginia Initiative for Education and Work (VIEW)

The VIEW program offers case management and support services to County residents who are or have been, within the last 12 months, recipients of TANF (Temporary Assistance for Needy Families). This program provides job search support, crisis intervention, training and educational opportunities, transportation and other services so that families can gain and maintain stability. Participants must be or have been a TANF recipient.

Virginia Job Corps

Job Corps is a no-cost education and vocational training program administered by the U.S. Department of Labor that helps young people ages 16 through 24 improve the quality of their lives through vocational and academic training. Funded by Congress, Job Corps has been training young adults for meaningful careers since 1964. Job Corps is committed to offering all students a safe, drug-free environment where they can take advantage of the resources provided.

Youth WIOA Program

The WIOA Program helps young adults, ages 17 to 24 to gain the skills needed to succeed in the workforce through career development and educational support. Services provided include:
