The criminal justice process is complex and can be confusing or intimidating for persons unfamiliar with the court system. The Loudoun County Commonwealth's Attorney's Office hopes to increase the public's understanding of the criminal justice process by periodically publishing articles on our website, Facebook, and Twitter pages about specific topics. The topics will be chosen based on questions and comments the office receives from the public about any aspect of the criminal process. Articles will not be written about any specific case that has not concluded. The series will be titled "Understanding the Law."
