- Legislative Program
Prior to the start of any Virginia General Assembly Session in Richmond, the Board of Supervisors collectively formulates and adopts its legislative priorities and position statements in an effort to better communicate and influence the actions of the Governor and the General Assembly. This adopted program serves as guidance for staff and the county’s contracted legislation liaisons during the legislative session.
The 2020-2023 Board of Supervisors adopted the 2024 Legislative Program at its November 9, 2023, business meeting and amended it on December 13, 2023.
Similar to the state program, work performed by Loudoun County’s federal legislative liaisons is guided by a federal agenda that is adopted on an annual basis. The federal program outlines specific projects and issues that guide work with Congress and federal agencies. The Board of Supervisors adopted its 2023 federal agenda on May 16, 2023.
