CARES Act Nonprofit Funding Update: October 2020
Loudoun County is allocating a second round of funding for eligible nonprofit and faith-based organizations affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. The $2.25 million allocation is part of the federal funding made available to the county through the Commonwealth of Virginia from the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act. The deadline to apply was September 30, 2020.
Loudoun County plans to distribute funds on a rolling basis to ensure organizations have adequate time to spend the funds by December 30, 2020.
In August, Loudoun County allocated more than $2 million to 53 eligible nonprofit and faith-based organizations affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. The allocation was part of the federal funding made available to the county through the Commonwealth of Virginia from the CARES Act.
