GeoHub
GeoHub Opens a New Window. launched in 2018 as a central website that features project-specific interactive map applications, informative dashboards, and topical Story Maps. As an open data platform, it is easy for users to share, view, download, or map spatial data on the fly.
It features mapping services and spatial data related to public safety, business support, natural resources, transportation, and current Loudoun government initiatives and programs.
Map Gallery
The online map gallery Opens a New Window. enables users to view or download image files of maps published by county departments. Large format prints of any map in the gallery can be plotted by our office for purchase.
Pictometry
- The Pictometry tool allows users to see oblique aerial images over a series of years. Oblique images are multiple views of buildings and other features from various angles.
- It can be accessed in WebLogis Opens a New Window. from the toolbar above the map or in the “Tools” tab under “Aerial Imagery.”
- It is also accessible on the Commissioner of the Revenue’s Property Search Opens a New Window. . After looking up a property, it is in the sidebar menu under “Aerial Photos.”
WebLogis Online Mapping System
- WebLogis Opens a New Window. is an interactive mapping system that allows users to explore the county’s GIS data layers.
- Users can map the features of specific properties and their nearby areas, such as buildings, fire hydrants, and topography.
- Users can also map information about larger regions of the county, such as election districts, watersheds, and zoning.
- The datasets are owned and maintained by various county agencies, and are updated on differing schedules. Information about each layer can be found in the “Tools” tab under “Metadata.”
- Address Points, Parcel Boundaries, and Road Centerline (under the LandRecords category) are updated daily and reflect the information from the previous business day.
Click the tabs below to see instructions for the most commonly used WebLogis features
To turn the imagery layers on and off:
- Check the box next to a category in the "Contents" tab
- Click the + to see the imagery options in that category
- Check the box next to any feature in the list that you would like to see on the map
Note: You may need to zoom in on the map to make the imagery visible
For example:
- Check the box next to "Environmental"
- Click the + to see the imagery options in the "Environmental" category
- Check the box next to "Topography 4ft" to see the topographic lines
Note: Zoom in until the scale on the upper left of the map is at least 1:16000 to make the lines visible
To look up a property by street address:
- Click the “Search” tab
- Start typing the address number and street name into the search box, matches will be listed under the search box as you type
- Click the correct address in the list*
Note: If you do not click the address from the list and instead press "Enter," it will create an error message - Click the “Locate on Map” button
For example:
- Click the "Search" tab
- Start typing in the government center address, "1 Harrison St SE" and matches will appear in a list under the search box
- Click "1 HARRISON ST SE" in the list
- Click the "Locate on Map" button and the map will zoom to the address and outline the property
To see the Commissioner of the Revenue's Property Search information for a parcel:
- Find the property on the map
- Click "Identify" in the toolbar directly above the map
- Hover the mouse pointer over "Land Records" and a list of options will appear
- Click "Parcel"
- Click the property on the map and an information box will appear
- Next to "PIN," click the underlined numbers
- A new browser tab or window will pop up with the property's information in the Commissioner of the Revenue's Property Search site
Note: If you do not see a new tab or window, make sure pop ups are not blocked in your web browser
For example:
- Using Search by Address, locate "1 Harrison St SE" on the map
- Click "Identify" in the toolbar directly above the map
- Hover the mouse pointer over "Land Records" and a list of options will appear
- Click "Parcel"
- Click 1 Harrison St SE on the map and an information box will appear
- Next to "PIN," click 231389137
- A new browser tab or window will pop up with the 1 Harrison St SE property information in the Commissioner of the Revenue's Property Search site
