Nonprofit Grant Funding

Each year, Loudoun County accepts applications for funding in the following fiscal year from community nonprofit organizations that provide core human services to vulnerable and disadvantaged Loudoun County residents.

On April 18, 2019, the Loudoun County Board of Supervisors approved annual awards for funding for Fiscal Year 2020 to community nonprofit organizations. Details on the funding approved for nonprofit groups for Fiscal Year 2020 are available in this news release:

Tax-exempt, private, nonprofit 501(c)3 organizations are eligible to apply annually for grants. For FY 2020, funding was focused on services in the following areas of need:

  • Prevention and Self-Sufficiency
  • Crisis Intervention and Diversion
  • Long-Term Support
  • Improved Quality of Human Services

In addition, a mini-grants process involved organizations applying for a small grant of $5,000 or less. The mini-grants program helps smaller organizations build capacity or support small-scale innovative ideas or projects. The mini-grant application cycle runs concurrent with the standard nonprofit application process.
