General Information

A General Election will be held in Loudoun County on Tuesday, November 5, 2019. Offices on the ballot will include State Senate and House of Delegates, Loudoun County Board of Supervisors, School Board, and Constitutional Officers, and bond questions. Scroll to the bottom of this page to see the specific ballot for your voting precinct.  

Information for Voters

This election is open to all registered voters in Loudoun County. 

  • Polling Place: Vote at your normal polling location.
  • Hours: Polls will be open from 6:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 5, 2019
  • Online Voter Registration Deadline: Tuesday, October 15, 2019 at 11:59 p.m. - register/update at www.vote.virginia.gov
  • In-Person Voter Registration Deadline: Tuesday, October 15, 2019 at 5:00 p.m.
  • By-Mail Voter Registration Deadline: Postmarked no later than October 15, 2019.

Absentee Voting Information

Ballots for both In-Person and By-Mail Absentee Voting will be available and absentee voting will begin on Friday, September 20, 2019. Applications for absentee ballots by mail will be processed and ballots mailed on this date.  Visit www.vote.virginia.gov to apply to have an absentee ballot mailed to you.  Please note that if you apply online the ballot will be mailed to your home and should be returned via U.S. mail.  If you intend to appear at the Office of Elections and vote Absentee In-Person you should not apply online, simply visit the office during regular business hours.

Deadlines

  • Last day to apply to have a ballot mailed to you is Tuesday, October 29, 2019 at 5:00 p.m.
  • Last day to vote an absentee ballot in person is Saturday, November 2, 2019 (office will be open 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.)

In-Person Absentee Voting Locations and Schedule

  • Loudoun County Office of Elections, 750 Miller Drive SE, Suite C, Leesburg, VA 20175 
    • Monday through Friday (September 20 through October 25, 2019) - 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (Note: The Office of Elections and Voter Registration will be closed Monday, October 14, 2019, for Columbus Day)
    • Saturday, October 26, 2019 - 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
    • Monday, October 28, 2019 through Friday, November 1, 2019 - 8:30 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
    • Saturday, November 2, 2019 - 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Absentee voting centers will also be open from Saturday, October 26, 2019 through Saturday, November 2, 2019 at the following locations and times:

  • Senior Center at Cascades, 21060 Whitfield Place, Sterling, VA 20165
    • Saturday, October 26, 2019 - 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
    • Monday, October 28, 2019 through Friday, November 1, 2019 - 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
    • Saturday, November 2, 2019 - 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
  •   Dulles South Recreation & Community Center, 24950 Riding Center Drive, South Riding, VA 20152
    • Saturday, October 26, 2019 - 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
    • Monday, October 28, 2019 through Friday, November 1, 2019 - 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
    • Saturday, November 2, 2019 - 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
