As of November 20, 2023, eligible Loudoun County residents may apply for emergency eviction assistance by submitting an online pre-screening application through the nonprofit Loudoun Cares. Read more about the program in this news release

Loudoun County residents who are experiencing difficulty making rent or mortgage payments may be eligible for payment assistance through one of these programs: 

  • Catholic Charities Emergency Assistance Program: Provides help with rent and utilities to residents of the Diocese of Arlington who are facing a one-time financial emergency. Assistance is given on a first-come, first-serve basis. 
  • Salvation Army Loudoun Corps: Provides help with utilities such as Dominion, NOVEC, and gas (not currently water).
  • FAITH: Provides emergency, short-term, and long-term assistance for rent, utility bills, medical bills, and more.
