Join us for a Clear the Shelters, fee-waived adoption event! What is Clear the Shelters? NBC is teaming up with hundreds of shelters across the country to host Clear the Shelters, a nationwide pet adoption drive that helps find loving homes for animals in need. We are waiving all of our adoption fees on Saturday, September 18, 2021 and hope you will join us for a fun, adoption event!

Please note that Kincaid Boulevard is closed from the direction of Battlefield Parkway. You must use Sycolin Road to Crosstrail Boulevard to access the facility.

All About Animals: Backyard Chickens | Saturday, September 25, 2021, 6:00 - 7:00 p.m. 42225 Adoption Drive, Leesburg, VA 20175

Roosters? Chickens? Geese and ducks? Thinking about starting a bachelor flock? Bring all of your questions - we have answers! Join us as we learn all about keeping poultry. From those just starting out with backyard birds, to more experienced keepers, we will cover something for everyone. Meet a bird or two, learn about enrichment, handling, setup, care and how you can keep your feathered friends happy and healthy. Space is limited - Sign up here!

Storytime at the Shelter, Every first and third Tuesday, 10:00 - 10:30 a.m., Loudoun County Animal Shelter (LCAS), 42225 Adoption Drive, Leesburg, VA 20175

Join us for a story at the shelter. We will read a picture book and learn about animals while also meeting a few of the animals available for adoption. Critters & Crafts, Every third Wednesday, 6:00 - 7:00 p.m., LCAS, 42225 Adoption Drive, Leesburg, VA 20175

Join us for Critters & Crafts! This educational program includes learning about an animal and then making a craft to take home. Children of all ages are welcome but those under 18 years of age must be accompanied by a parent/guardian. Please sign up to reserve your spot - sign up here!

For in-shelter programs: Individuals are required to wear face coverings inside Loudoun County facilities, regardless of vaccination status, to help reduce community transmission of COVID-19. More information is online here.

Host the Mobile Adoption Bus at Your Next Event!

Are you interested in bringing the Mobile Adoption Bus to a community event? Please email Loudoun County Animal Services. Due to high demand, the bus is often booked three to five months in advance.

The vehicle, purchased through generous donations to the Animal Services Trust Fund, has been in operation since 2009. It is 33 feet long and provides comfortable, climate controlled space for approximately 20 animals. The bus includes a visiting room and roll up doors so that animals can be seen from the outside. It can be used for emergency response situations such as large scale animal seizures, rescues or veterinary medical triage.
