In the Courtrooms
Circuit Court Audio Recordings
The Digital Court Recorder software from BISDigital is used to record most Circuit Court proceedings. More information on circuit court audio recordings and how to request a copy can be found on our Circuit Court Audio Requests page.
Hearing-Impaired Assistance
Each courtroom is equipped with an infrared emitter. Headphones are available upon request from the courtroom bailiff.

ClickShare
This wireless technology allows attorneys and self-represented litigants to present media from their laptops to the courtroom monitors. Installation of the ClickShare App is required prior to use. After installing the ClickShare App, you may request a dongle from the courtroom bailiff. Those who have not used this technology before may wish to schedule a test date prior to your hearing. This can be done using the Courts Technology Request form.

Bringing in Your Own Equipment
Many devices can be hooked up to our monitor using the provided HDMI inputs. Please note that the cords provided are 6 feet long. If you need your device to be further away, you will need to provide your own extension cables. The court does not provide any adapters.

In the Courthouse
Digital Dockets
Digital Docket Screens provided to us by the Supreme Court of Virginia allow visitors to the courthouse to find out in what courtroom and at what time their case is being heard.
Phones & Mobile Devices
At this time Loudoun County does not allow devices with cameras into the courthouse Opens a New Window. . Exceptions may be made for attorneys in good standing with the Loudoun County Bar Association.

The Clerk of the Circuit Court’s Office offers many applications that allow our attorney customers to work remotely.
Virginia Judiciary E-Filing System (VJEFS)
This system, for use by members of the Virginia State Bar and their designated staff, allows a civil case to be opened electronically. Additionally, documents may be filed electronically in those civil cases opened using the VJEFS system in participating circuit courts throughout the state.
Benefits of the system include the ability to submit and track online case submissions, receive status and other notifications by email, request service of process, and the ability to calculate and pay fees online.
Effective June 1, 2023, once a responsive pleading has been filed, the Clerk’s office will notify receipt of an e-filed case. If a case is sealed or a responsive pleading has been filed pro se, the case must be removed from VJEFS per the rules of the Supreme Court. If the opposing attorney does not want to e-file, a case initiated through VJEFS will have to be removed unless the attorney does not object to the case continuing in VJEFS.

Loudoun Officer of the Court Remote Access (LOCRA)
For use by members of the Virginia State Bar and their designated staff, this system allows users to view, print, or save images of case files remotely. In Loudoun, this service only costs you $10 a month. Our LOCRA page has more information on how to subscribe and what's available.
Land Records Remote Access
The Loudoun County Clerk's Office provides remote access to their land records. A fee and application is required for each user.
