Cable Television Complaints

Loudoun County has authority to enforce the terms as described in the Cable TV Franchise Agreements between the county and the cable TV providers only. Complaints pertaining to telephone service, cellular service, wireless broadband service, and all other Telecommunications type services should be directed to state and/or federal agencies for enforcement.

The Department of Information Technology offers assistance to cable and OVS subscribers who have experienced ongoing problems with the cable or OVS company.

To report a CABLE TV related issue (such as an outage, problems with your service or billing), FIRST, call your cable provider's 24-hour customer service number. If you are unable to get a resolution to your problem you can file a complaint form online through Loudoun Express Request (LEx). To bring any issues to the direct attention of the Loudoun County Communications Commission, please email the Cable Division.

Please note, the Towns of Leesburg, Middleburg, Purcellville, Round Hill, and Lovettsville have separate franchise agreements with Comcast and/or Verizon. Town(s) residents should report complaints to their respective Town Managers.

State & Federal Agencies Communications Complaint Forms

To report current, extended, or unresolved complaints that your telephone company, cable TV provider, cellular provider, ISP, or fixed wireless broadband provider have not resolved to your satisfaction, consumers have the option to contact the appropriate agency to file a complaint and launch an investigation into billing issues, service issues, and possible unfair, deceptive, or fraudulent business practices.
