Ribbon Cutting for Round Hill to Franklin Park Trail Project Set for September 27

Posted on September 27, 2022 at 5:19 PM by Nancy McCormick

Loudoun County will celebrate the completion of construction of the Round Hill to Franklin Park Trail project and Main Street enhancements with a ribbon cutting Tuesday, September 27, 2022, at 3:30 p.m. The public is invited to attend the ceremony.

The event will be held in front of the Town Park Pavilion, 3 East Loudoun Street, in Round Hill. Parking is available behind the Round Hill Fire and Rescue Station.

These two projects constructed a shared-use path and sidewalks that link the Town of Round Hill to Franklin Park. The project installed curb and sidewalk on both sides of E. Loudoun Street from the intersection of Main Street to the eastern town limits, a 10-foot, shared-use path between Lake Point Subdivision and the Franklin Park pool, and curb and sidewalk along Main Street from the former Washington & Old Dominion railroad station to E. Loudoun Street. Additional enhancements include curb ramps, retaining walls, a new storm drainage system within the Town limits and a pedestrian crossing at Lakefield Road.
