Project Update: April 13, 2022
At its April 5, 2022 business meeting, the Loudoun County Board of Supervisors approved the terms of proposed settlement agreements with three homeowners in the Selma Estates neighborhood. Under these agreements, the county would receive title to one property and easements over the two other properties, as well as the release of active or potential claims against the County.
The county is planning to convey the property to which it will receive title to the Selma Estates HOA, reserving an easement, after the home has been demolished and flood mitigation facilities installed.
In order to allow other affected property owners to sell easements over their properties to the county or to perform their own mitigation using county grant funding, the county is currently exploring additional funding options that will comply with applicable state codes.
