Construction of the new Lovettsville Community Center and pool house renovations are nearing completion. The center is currently under construction in the Town of Lovettsville at the site of the old community center building. Pool house renovations were recently completed, and Parks, Recreation and Community Services PRCS reopened the pool house for public use on May 28, 2022.
Over the next several weeks, crews will continue installing the community center’s interior finishes, including ceramic tile, carpet and wood flooring. Testing of the HVAC and mechanical systems is underway in preparation for final testing and inspections. Construction is currently estimated for completion by fall 2022, weather permitting.
The new community center will be over 15,000 square feet and will have a full-size gymnasium, five classrooms, a multipurpose room, a kitchen, administrative offices, meeting space and storage areas. The project also includes a 600-square-foot addition and renovation to the existing 1,200-square-foot Pool House.
