The Loudoun County Planning Commission is scheduled to hold a work session on Saturday, February 25, 2023, at 9:00 a.m., on proposed changes to the Loudoun County Zoning Ordinance.
The Planning Commission is scheduled to consider the following Zoning Ordinance chapters:
- Chapter 8: Signs (Specifically signs within Rural Policy Area zoning districts and Rural Villages)
- Chapter 2: Zoning Districts
- Chapter 3: Uses
- Chapter 4: Use Specific Standards
- Chapter 13: Definitions Related to Uses
The work session will take place in the Board Room of the Government Center, 1 Harrison St. SE in Leesburg.
The Planning Commission will discuss the draft Zoning Ordinance text provided for the January 24, 2023, Planning Commission public hearing. The staff report prepared for the work session includes an overview of comments by the public and feedback from the Planning Commission received during the Planning Commission public hearing January 24, 2023, and staff responses. It also includes a matrix summarizing key changes made between the Revised 1993 Zoning Ordinance and the draft text.

The Planning Commission is scheduled to hold several work sessions on the Zoning Ordinance Rewrite before forwarding its recommendations to the Board of Supervisors for review and adoption. Work session dates and times are listed on the online Loudoun County calendar.
