Beginning the week of March 13, 2023, contractors will begin installing stormwater management controls and clearing trees at the location of the new Lovettsville Fire & Rescue Station #12 Replacement project adjacent to the existing Fire & Rescue Station on Berlin Turnpike.
The existing Fire & Rescue Station will remain operational throughout the duration of construction with minimal disruptions as construction entrances will be located off Berlin Turnpike and Lutheran Church Road.
Located on Berlin Turnpike in Lovettsville, the current Lovettsville Fire & Rescue Station building was erected in 1974 and has had two subsequent additions built. Fire & Rescue Station #12 houses an engine, tanker, basic life support ambulance and brush truck. Construction is estimated to be completed in fall 2024.
