The Loudoun County Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) collection event, originally scheduled for April 25, 2020, has been canceled in keeping with Governor Northam’s
stay-at-home order and Loudoun County’s efforts to stem the spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19).
The county normally hosts eight HHW events from March through November to collect used and unwanted HHW such as gasoline and household chemicals. The popular events are held at various locations throughout the county and typically attract 300 – 500 participants per event.
The county hopes to reschedule the April 25 event once the stay-at-home order is lifted. In the meantime, residents are encouraged to review the
criteria for the household hazardous waste collection events and be prepared to bring their HHW to the next scheduled event. Anyone with questions may call 703-771-5500 or
