Loudoun County Update

• Don't put off urgent medical care: While we are all appropriately concerned about COVID-19, common health conditions such as heart disease, strokes, and asthma remain key killers in our society, particularly if people don't come in for needed medical care. Our emergency departments, urgent care centers and doctors' offices are all safe to visit if needed. If you are having a condition for which you would normally could call 911 or go to the emergency room, don't put it off. Your life could depend on it. 
• Get tips for coping with COVID-19 fear and uncertainty: Fear and uncertainty about COVID-19 can be overwhelming and cause strong emotions in adults and children. Taking care of yourself, your friends and your family can help you cope with stress. Helping others cope with their stress can also make your community stronger. • Explore Spanish resources: Loudoun County provides information and resources in Spanish related to COVID-19 and to the challenges presented by this pandemic. Learn more at loudoun.gov/covidespanol and share with your network. 
• The Virginia Department of Social Services has launched a mobile app and website designed to streamline access to critical and actionable resources for individuals, families and businesses. The new COVID-19 Virginia Resources website and app enables users to search for local resources through 211Virginia.org, as well as access CommonHelp, the online system to apply for food assistance, health care, childcare and other benefits. • The Virginia Department of Health has launched a new interactive web tool, COVID-19 & You. The tool provides information regarding health concerns and issues; you can click through a list of popular topics and subtopics. Explore COVID-19 & You.
• The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, through public-private partnerships, has enabled veterans to better connect to their health care data online. Online veteran health care records first only available on iOS operating systems, are now also accessible on Android mobile devices and web applications. iButton and MyLinks are free health information exchange apps providing Veterans the ability to securely access, manage and interact with their health information.
