In the first quarter of 2020, work on the preliminary design for the Northstar Boulevard: Shreveport Drive to Route 50 project was completed. Currently, the county is accepting contractor bids for a design/build contract. Work on the design phase of the design/build contract is estimated to begin by the end of 2020.
This project will design and construct a new four-lane, median divided segment of Northstar Boulevard from Shreveport Drive to U.S. Route 50. The scope includes a 10 foot wide shared use path on both sides of the roadway, a traffic signal at Route 50 and the realignment of Evergreen Mills Road.
The project is currently estimated for completion in mid-2024.
