Loudoun County Update

• The Loudoun Made Loudoun Grown Marketplace, an online marketplace connecting consumers with local products and open to all Loudoun farms and rural businesses, has added two convenient pick-up locations in Lansdowne and Sterling. As of now, 29 vendors are selling more than 400 products through the Marketplace, and more than 70 customers have signed up browse the selections and make orders. Not all vendors choose to participate in each method of pick-up and delivery, so please read carefully to see which vendors are available. • The Community Foundation for Loudoun and Northern Fauquier Counties received a $100,000 grant from Google to support COVID-19 relief efforts in Loudoun County. Funds from Google will be added equally to the Community Foundation's Community Emergency Relief Fund (CERF) and Tourism & Hospitality Relief Fund.  
  • Loudoun residents who have lost wages because of COVID-19, including tourism and hospitality workers, can call the helpline at 703-669-5040 to request rent assistance for approximately $500. 
  • Donations to CERF can be made at communityfoundationlf.org/emergencyrelief.
  • Donations to the Tourism & Hospitality Relief Fund can be made at communityfoundationlf.org/tandhfund.

• Loudoun County has developed an online Spanish-language toolkit with COVID-19-related resources to support community partners in making sure that all of our residents have essential information about COVID-19 and the resources they may need at this critical time. This toolkit provides downloadable, printable materials and digital tools to help share information with Spanish-speaking residents. Check out this toolkit at loudoun.gov/toolkitespanol. 
• Protect Older Adults from COVID-19: Many families in our community have older adults living in their home or family members with medical conditions. It is important to take precautions to protect the most vulnerable individuals in our community from serious illness due to COVID-19. Even if you don't have older adults living in your home, you could unknowingly come in contact with someone who does or someone that works in a long-term care facility, and that person could potentially take the infection to a large number of high-risk individuals. Read our post from earlier today to learn the steps you can take to protect others from possible infection.
