  • Loudoun is Ready Campaign: To aid Loudoun businesses with the reopening process, the Loudoun Department of Economic Development, Visit Loudoun, and the Loudoun Chamber of Commerce have partnered together to create the "Loudoun is Ready" campaign. Designed to promote healthy practices among local business owners, the "Loudoun is Ready" campaign encourages businesses to meet the latest guidelines outlined by the Virginia Department of Health and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Businesses can take a pledge to signify that they are ready to meet these criteria and customers can find Loudoun businesses that have taken the pledge. Learn more at LoudounIsReady.com.
  • Face Coverings Required in Loudoun County Government Buildings: Beginning Friday, May 29, 2020, anyone who is entering, exiting, traveling through, and spending time in a Loudoun County government facility will be required to wear a face covering to help slow the spread of the novel coronavirus. Earlier this week, Governor Ralph Northam issued Executive Order Sixty-Three, which requires Virginians to wear face coverings in public indoor settings, including local government buildings, as described by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.   • Process for Temporary Permit for Loudoun Food & Beverage Establishments to Add Outdoor Seating: As the region prepares for easing restrictions put in place in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, Loudoun County is outlining the process for temporary approval for restaurants and other food and beverage establishments that want to add or expand their outdoor seating.   • Loudoun County Spearheads COVID-19 Testing Task Force: Loudoun County Administrator Tim Hemstreet has organized a COVID-19 Testing Task Force to help facilitate the availability of more COVID-19 testing in the community. The task force consists of community health partners, including representatives of Hospital Corporation of America (HCA), Inova, Loudoun Medical Group, Healthworks of Northern Virginia, urgent care facilities, the Loudoun Free Clinic and various private practice physicians.   • Loudoun County Flag to Fly at Full Staff as Phase One of Reopening Begins: Board of Supervisors Chair Phyllis J. Randall's order to lower the Loudoun County flag to half-staff at county facilities in honor of COVID-19 victims will end at 11:59 tonight, Thursday, May 28, 2020. This coincides with the end of Phase Zero and the beginning of Phase One of the Forward Virginia reopening planRead the news release.
