Case Update
Loudoun County Update
  • Record Number of Absentee Voters: Voters in Thursday’s municipal elections in Loudoun heeded the call of election officials to vote absentee as a way to help slow the spread of the novel coronavirus. Sixty-three percent of the 2,722 voters in the Lovettsville, Middleburg and Purcellville elections voted absentee. A slightly larger percentage, 65%, cast absentee ballots in the May 19 elections in Hamilton and Round Hill. The previous record for absentee voting in Loudoun was 17% in the 2016 presidential election. Officials hope a large percentage of voters in the upcoming June 23, 2020, primary election also will vote absentee.
  • Need for Medical Reserve Corps Volunteers Continues: The Loudoun Medical Reserve Corps continues to seek volunteers to help support the public health response to the COVID-19 pandemic. No medical experience is necessary. There are many non-medical roles to fill. Find out more at loudoun.gov/mrc.
  • Reminder: Business Interruption Fund Closes at Noon Saturday: Applications are due at 12 p.m., Saturday, June 6, 2020, for round 3 of the Loudoun Business Interruption Fund. This round of grants to support Loudoun businesses impacted by the coronavirus outbreak is intended for businesses with fewer than three employees. View details on how to apply.
  • Stay Safe This Weekend: A reminder that Loudoun County and Northern Virginia remain in Phase 1 of Virginia's "reopening" plan. Also, Governor Northam's Executive Order 63 requires Virginians to wear face coverings in public indoor settings to help contain the spread of COVID-19.
