Property Owners Near New Courthouse to Receive Survey Letters in the Mail

Posted on December 20, 2019 at 9:02 AM by Heidi Kellum

As the start of construction of the new Loudoun County District Courthouse draws near, Loudoun County will be offering preconstruction surveys to property owners within 450 feet of the primary construction site in Leesburg.

Eligible residents who live within the defined area can expect to receive letters by U.S. mail from McDonough Bolyard Peck, Inc. (MBP) in the coming week. The letters, which will be mailed on November 21, 2019, include a Preconstruction Survey Acceptance Form and instructions to respond within 14 days of receipt. If MBP does not receive a response from an eligible property owner, a preconstruction survey of their property will not take place.

Loudoun County has contracted with MBP to perform surveys documenting the baseline condition of the interior and exterior of properties. Once an inspection is completed, the property owner will be provided a copy of the survey at no cost.

For questions about the preconstruction survey, contact Kay Jackson, McDonough Bolyard Peck, Inc. Senior Project Manager by email or 703-772-6576.

Construction for the new District Courthouse is scheduled to begin January 6, 2020. For more information about this project, visit loudoun.gov/courts-expansion
