  • Guidance for Voters in Virginia: The Virginia Department of Health (VDH) has issued guidance for voters in Virginia to help prevent the spread of COVID-19. Voters are encouraged to learn about the options for voting in the November 2020 election. View three ways to vote on the county's website. In addition, VDH encourages voters to take precautions if voting on Election Day, which is particularly important for people at higher risk of severe illness from COVID-19.      
  • Upcoming Events for Job Seekers:
    • The Competitive Edge - Attending Virtual Job Fairs, Wednesday, October 21, 2020, 2:00 - 3:00 p.m.: As a sign of the times, businesses are now turning to technology to interview and hire employees. Learn the essentials for job success at your next virtual career fair, to include: understanding the technology; knowing what to expect during the fair; making the best impressions and interactions; and following up with employers. The workshop ends with a discussion and audience questions.     • Saturday Seminars for Job Seekers: Are your weekdays busy with work or distance learning? Join the Workforce Resource Center on Saturdays in November to explore various topics, including: Your Transferable Skills, Coffee with a Career Counselor, Loudoun County Employment Information Session, and The Mystery of Applicant Tracking Systems.   • Mental Health First Aid Classes Return on a Virtual Platform: Anyone interested in having a better understanding of mental illness and how to help those experiencing a mental health challenge is encouraged to register for an upcoming class conducted by the Loudoun County Department of Mental Health, Substance Abuse and Developmental Services. The classes are free and open to everyone.
