Loudoun County Update
  • Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Process in Underway in Loudoun: The CDBG program provides funding on an annual basis for local projects that address a variety of housing, public service and community development needs. Eligible applicants for CDBG funds include local nonprofit organizations and local government entities in Loudoun County or those serving Loudoun County residents. Proposed projects should address the goals of the CDBG program, which include providing affordable housing opportunities, revitalizing neighborhoods, renovating substandard housing, providing public services and expanding economic development opportunities, primarily for persons of low- and moderate-income households.
  • Revive! Loudoun County Opioid Overdose Reversal Training: Anyone who uses opioids or knows someone who uses them is encouraged to sign up for the free opioid overdose reversal training offered by Loudoun County. Learn how to recognize and respond to an opioid overdose. The next class dates are November 16 and November 20, 2020. Participants must preregister. Get details and a link to register at loudoun.gov/revive.
  • Board of Supervisors Proclaims November 15, 2020, America Recycles Day in Loudoun County: America Recycles Day is the nationally recognized day dedicated to encouraging Americans to recycle. The Board’s proclamation calls on residents, businesses and public institutions in the county to reaffirm their commitment to recycling and the environmental and economic benefits recycling brings to the community.
