Feasibility Study for Philomont Fire Station Project to Begin in January

Posted on January 5, 2021 at 1:08 PM by Heidi Kellum

Loudoun County has contracted with an Architectural/Engineering firm to perform a feasibility study of the existing Philomont fire station site to learn if the current site and/or existing facility can meet the needs of the future station. This study will begin in January and is expected to take approximately three months to complete. At that time, the report will be reviewed and the findings will be evaluated.

The facility is anticipated to include apparatus bays, bunkroom facilities, a training/break room, restrooms, showers, food preparation and dining areas, laundry and decontamination areas, supply storage and a gear and hose drying area. It will also include a breathing apparatus air compressor room, a fitness room, offices and a repair shop.
The project is estimated for completion in 2026.
