The Braddock Road and Summerall Drive and Supreme Drive Intersection Improvements project, which includes the widening of an approximate 0.73-mile segment of Braddock Road near the same intersection, received plan approval in January 2021. In this quarter, plat approval, which is a map of boundaries and ownership of individual properties, will be completed and the team will begin Right-of-Way (ROW) acquisition as part of the preconstruction process.
This project provides for the installation of a traffic signal and turn lanes at the intersection of Braddock Road (Route 620) and Supreme Drive (Route 1257) and Summerall Drive (Route 1258). In addition, the two-lane section of Braddock Road near the intersection will be widened to four lanes and a 10 ft. wide shared use path will be installed along the north side of Braddock Road from the end of the existing path at the Greenfield Crossing community to the existing path at the Braddock Corner community.
This project is currently estimated to be completed in summer 2022.
