  • Total Vaccine Doses Administered - Loudoun: 285,487 (up 1,589 since last report) I  Virginia: 6,018,570 (up 50,129 since last report) 
  • Loudoun County Residents Fully Vaccinated: 107,356 (up 783 since last report)
  • Percent of Total Population Fully Vaccinated: Loudoun: 26% (up 0.4% since report on 4/26/21)
  • Total Vaccine Doses Received Over Last 7 Days: Virginia: 440,700 (note: VDH has changed their reporting from first doses received to total doses received)

Loudoun County Update
  • Loudoun County Transit Resumes Fare Collection Monday, May 3, 2021: In preparation for this service change, riders are encouraged to review the fares for their trips at loudoun.gov/transit. 
    • SmarTrip cards and/or cash will be accepted for all Commuter Bus, Metro Connection Bus and Local Bus routes. Riders of the Route 40 Purcellville Connector will still use cash only or the Virginia Regional Transit (VRT) punch pass.
    • Loudoun County Transit continues to follow the guidance of local, state and national health authorities to reduce the risk of COVID-19 exposure on transit buses. Operational changes include face covering and physical distancing requirements as well as more frequent bus cleanings. More information about requirements for riders and new cleaning procedures is provided at loudoun.gov/COVID19transit.
  • What to Do If You Received the J&J/Janssen COVID-19 Vaccine: After a temporary pause, CDC and the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) recommend use of Johnson & Johnson’s Janssen (J&J/Janssen) COVID-19 Vaccine resume in the United States. A review of all available data at this time shows that the J&J/Janssen COVID-19 Vaccine’s known and potential benefits outweigh its known and potential risks. However, women under 50 years old should be aware of the rare but increased risk of the adverse event called thrombosis with thrombocytopenia syndrome (TTS), and that there are other COVID-19 vaccine options available for which this risk has not been seen. CDC and FDA will continue to monitor the safety of all COVID-19 vaccines.
