Loudoun County Update
  • Social Distancing & Capacity Restrictions at County Government Facilities End May 28: As we reported in an earlier blog post, beginning Friday, May 28, 2021, Loudoun County will implement Governor Northam's Executive Order 79 (PDF), which lifts the remaining capacity limits and social distancing requirements that have been in place as part of the effort to reduce the spread of COVID-19. Key points:
    • Face Masks: Loudoun County generally no longer requires face masks to be worn by employees and members of the public who are fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and working in or visiting county facilities.
      • Exceptions: Face masks are still required in public transit settings, such as Loudoun County Transit buses; health care facilities, such as the county’s Dulles Town Center COVID-19 vaccination site; detention facilities and congregate care settings. Anyone participating in a jury trial at the Loudoun County Courthouse may be required to wear a face mask until further notice. Also, you should follow any mask requirements by private entities, such as grocery stores and restaurants.
