The Town of Poolesville Fair Access Committee will hold a public meeting this week for members of the public to meet the new owner of the ferry and hear updates on the efforts to get the ferry reopened for the long term. The meeting is scheduled on Wednesday, August 18, 2021, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., at the Poolesville Town Hall, 19721 Beall Street, Poolesville, MD 20837.
Loudoun County has been working jointly with Montgomery County to conduct the study of the White’s Ferry’s operations.
The study results are expected to be presented to the Board of Supervisors in fall 2021.
