Loudoun County Update

• Loudoun COVID-19 Vaccination Clinic in Sterling is Open This Saturday: The Loudoun County COVID-19 vaccination site at Sterling Elementary School, 200 West Church Road in Sterling will be open this Saturday, September 11, 2021, from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Anyone 12 and older who has not been vaccinated against COVID-19 is encouraged to make an appointment to receive a free COVID-19 vaccine. (Anyone under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.) You can schedule a vaccine appointment online. As a reminder, COVID-19 vaccine is now widely available throughout Loudoun County from many providers, such as medical offices and pharmacies including, but not limited to, CVS, Giant Food, Harris Teeter, Safeway, Walgreens, Walmart and Wegmans. Visit vaccines.gov to find the vaccination site most convenient for you. 
• Loudoun Resumes Regular COVID-19 Testing:  As Loudoun County continues to experience a high level of community transmission of COVID-19, the county has resumed holding free COVID-19 testing events twice a month to give residents an additional option for free testing. The drive-thru events are scheduled for the first and third Tuesday of the month, 10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. at various locations across the county. The next testing event will be held Tuesday, September 21, 2021, at Claude Moore Park, 46150 Loudoun Park Lane in Sterling. To save time, you can fill out the required registration form ahead of time. The forms as well as information about other testing providers may be found at loudoun.gov/covid19testing. 
  • Who Should Get Tested: Loudoun health officials encourage people to get tested if they are exhibiting symptoms of COVID-19, such as fever or chills, cough, shortness of breath, fatigue and a new loss of taste or smell or if they have been potentially exposed to someone with COVID-19, regardless of their vaccination status.
  • Virginia Department of Health Expands Testing Program: In response to an increased demand for testing, the Virginia Department of Health (VDH) is expanding COVID-19 testing events across the state, adding more than 170 community testing events to the September schedule. • Loudoun County Public Schools Launches New COVID-19 Data Page: Loudoun County Public Schools (LCPS) has posted an updated COVID-19 data webpage on the LCPS website.
