Project Update: October 1, 2021

  • At its Tuesday, October 5, 2021, meeting, the Loudoun County Board of Supervisors will consider the recommendation of the Finance/Government Operations and Economic Development Committee to develop guidelines that would allow affected Selma Estates property owners to choose whether to sell their property to the county or to perform their own mitigation using county grant funding.
  • To learn more about the recommendation, please view the item prepared for the October 5 meeting (PDF).

  • Please note: while the October 5 board meeting will begin at 2:00 p.m., the Board will be in closed session on another item until approximately 5:00 p.m.
  • We do not anticipate that the Selma Estates item will come before the Board until after 5 p.m. The Board is also keeping its customary time for public comment, which occurs as early as 6:00 p.m.
  • If approved by the Board at the October 5 meeting, county staff will develop potential guidelines, cost estimates, and funding alternatives for the project.
