Construction continues on a segment of Crosstrail Boulevard from Kincaid Boulevard to Russell Branch Parkway in Leesburg, as crews recently completed deck pours for the bridges over Tuscarora Creek and the W&OD. The work is part of a County project to extend existing Crosstrail Boulevard from Kincaid Boulevard to Russell Branch Parkway. Road work and curb and gutter installation is ongoing and has been extended north toward the WO&D Trail from Kincaid Boulevard.
For the next several weeks, crews will continue work on bridge approaches, road work, curb and gutter, and topsoil and seeding along cut slopes. Weather permitting, construction is expected to be completed in winter 2023.
The project will construct a new four-lane, divided road segment, extending Crosstrail Boulevard from Kincaid Boulevard to Russell Branch Parkway. When completed, Crosstrail Boulevard will provide a new connection between Sycolin Road near Philip A. Bolen Memorial Park and Route 7.
