No Street Parking on North Street Due to Asphalt Road Work Beginning February 1

Posted on January 28, 2022 at 3:40 PM by Shawn Zelman

As part of the new Courthouse construction, weather permitting, asphalt road work will take place on North Street between Slack Lane and Church Street for approximately two days between February 1-4, 2022. There will be no street parking in this area on those days. Signs will be posted beginning the day before the construction begins. Drivers should expect alternating one-lane traffic through the work site.

Drivers should use extra caution when traveling through this area and follow all directions from the posted signs and road crews.

Future phases of construction include building a tunnel under Church Street that connects the existing courthouse to the new building. The project is expected to be complete and open to the public in 2023.

Visitors to the Loudoun County Courthouse will continue to have access to free parking throughout the duration of the project at the Pennington Lot and Pennington Garage which are  located approximately two blocks from the courthouse near the intersection of Church and North Streets, NE. View parking details and a map of the shuttle route and walking path in this flyer (PDF).
