Moorefield Station On-Street Parking Management Area Update

Posted on February 19, 2022 at 10:54 AM by Glen Barbour

The Board of Supervisors was scheduled to consider a proposed On-Street Parking Management Area in the Moorefield Station neighborhood during its regular meeting on February 15, 2022. The Board opted to defer consideration and a vote on the proposal until its regular meeting scheduled on March 1, 2022.

The deferment of this agenda item will allow staff and the Board more time to refine the proposal based on feedback from the residents in the proposed On-Street Parking Management Area.

The staff report for the March 1 meeting will be posted by Friday, February 25. Visit www.loudoun.gov/meetings to view staff reports and to watch the meeting online on March 1. The meeting will also be televised on Comcast Government Channel 23 and Verizon FIOS Channel 40. The Board meeting is held in the Government Center in Leesburg.

On January 27, 2022, Loudoun County staff met with residents during a community meeting to share more information about the proposal and answer questions. During the virtual meeting, a number of residents asked questions through the virtual meeting platform’s chat function. County staff have answered those questions and posted the responses on the county’s website:

Residents who have not yet provided feedback on the proposal may do so by submitting an online comment form, or by contacting the Board of Supervisors. The methods for providing feedback to the Board are posted on the county’s website here.

Another way to provide feedback to the Board of Supervisors is through its monthly Public Hearings. A Public Hearing regarding parking rates and fees for the proposed On-Street Parking Management Area at Moorfield Station is scheduled for March 9, 2022. To learn how to sign up to speak at the Public Hearing, visit the county’s website here.
