Beginning Monday, April 8, at 9:00 p.m., weather permitting, VDOT will be doing tree work just south of Point of Rocks bridge over the Potomac. The southbound lane of Route 15 will be closed between Route 672 (Lovettsville Road) and Myersville Lane during the tree work, with flaggers routing each direction of traffic in the northbound lane. The work is scheduled to occur each evening, Monday, April 8 through Thursday, April 11 beginning at 9:00 p.m. The road will be fully reopened to traffic by 4:00 a.m. each morning.
Drivers are reminded to use caution when traveling in active work zones. Be alert to new traffic patterns and limit distractions.

This project is the second phase of the program of improvements to Route 15 North of Leesburg. This project consists of the design, right-of-way acquisition, utility relocation and construction of a roundabout on Route 15 at Spinks Ferry Road and a realigned Newvalley Church Road.
At the December 17, 2019 Board of Supervisor’s (Board) meeting, the Board allocated money to accelerate a portion of the Capital Improvement Project (CIP) to advance the design for this project.
