Construction of the Sterling Community Center is nearing completion as crews finish punch list items in preparation for returning the facility to Loudoun County’s Department of Parks, Recreation and Community Services (PRCS). The Sterling Community Center building is undergoing renovations and an expansion that will add 2,000 square feet, improve access, and provide new outdoor spaces. In the next several weeks, PRCS will announce a grand opening event to celebrate the renovated building with the public.
This is the final construction update that will be provided on this project as major construction is nearing completion.
The project, which will expand the 18,700 square-foot community center facility in Sterling, includes improving the entrances to the center, enlarging the gymnasium, renovating the outdoor pavilion, adding an outdoor amphitheater, creating new patio and lawn areas, and expanding the teen recreation area.
During the renovation, the center is providing services at an adjacent county-owned property at 150 Enterprise Street.
