Select Features at Moorefield Community Park Open to the Public Today

Construction is complete at Moorefield Community Park in Ashburn. The Loudoun County Department of Parks, Recreation and Community Services (PRCS) announces a partial opening of the new park on Thursday, October 1, 2020. The park is co-located with Moorefield Elementary School. Park hours are dawn to dusk.


Athletic fields, which include two lit and irrigated rectangular ballfields and one lit and irrigated diamond ballfield, remain temporarily closed to allow for adequate turf growth. Additional park features include a large pavilion with restrooms and concession stand, a trail, three additional picnic pavilions, parking and a sidewalk network. Park patrons are asked to avoid any areas designated as closed. 


An official ribbon cutting for Moorefield Community Park is anticipated in spring 2020. For more information, visit www.loudoun.gov/prcs or send an email.

Light Testing at Moorefield Station Community Park Soccer Fields Rescheduled Due to Weather

The light level testing at the Moorefield Station Community Park soccer fields today have been canceled due to weather and rescheduled for tomorrow, Wednesday, August 5, 2020.

Musco Lighting will start the tests at dusk, allowing one hour for each of the two large soccer fields to be tested. Tests are expected to be completed by midnight. If inclement weather postpones testing, testing will begin on the next day. 

Moorefield Station Community Park is located at 43240 Clarendon Square in Ashburn. Construction on the facility is scheduled for completion in fall 2020. For more information, visit the Moorefield Station Community Park project page.
