Posted on June 22, 2022 at 2:37 PM by Nancy McCormick

Loudoun County is scheduled to continue utility work as part of the Courts Complex Expansion project in Leesburg, which will lead to evening and overnight traffic detours for about two weeks, beginning June 26, 2022. Weather permitting, the work activity will take place from 9:00 p.m. until 7:00 a.m., Sunday through Friday. Residents will see increased construction activity and changes to the vehicular traffic flow on Edwards Ferry Road from Harrison Street NE to King Street, including a lane closure on Edwards Ferry Road, from Harrison Street NE to Church Street.

Traffic will be detoured around the construction. Road closure barriers, construction signs and detour signs will be set up prior to the work beginning each night and will be taken down the following morning. Access will be maintained to businesses in Colonial Square at 114 and 116 Edwards Ferry Road. Drivers and pedestrians should use extra caution when traveling through the area near the Loudoun County Courthouse and follow all directions from the posted signs and road crews.

Visitors to the Loudoun County Courthouse continue to have access to the existing building. Free parking is available in the Pennington Lot and Pennington Garage, which is located off  Church Street, approximately two blocks from the courthouse.
