At the October 18, 2022 Board meeting, the Board of Supervisors approved the location and major design elements for the Route 15 and Spinks Ferry Road roundabout and relocated Newvalley Church Road. The roundabout design will be a one-lane roundabout to serve the existing two-lane Route 15.
The public provided input throughout the process and a public meeting was held on September 23, 2021. The design includes a landscape plan consistent with Journey Through Hallowed Ground landscape guidelines. County staff now can proceed with the final design and preparation of construction documents.
This project consists of the design, right-of-way acquisition, utility relocation and construction of a roundabout on Route 15 at Spinks Ferry Road and a realigned Newvalley Church Road. This project is funded through local funding.
